The Rundown: Black Lightning has completed the mission they were sent on, but Duke and Cassandra will discover who the real targets were.
After securing Sofia, Bruce orders the team to meet him in Paris to debrief. Unfortunately, two members of the team are in the wind.
Jefferson and Bruce will discover too late that the real targets of Ras Al Ghul have been confronted by Ishmael and given the chance to follow him to learn the truth. The pair track the villain to an underground base where they discover both a secret Batman is hiding from the team, but also someone close to one of them.
Meanwhile, a mysterious package makes its way to the front steps of Wayne Manor.
The Story: Bryan Hill thrills with the both the plot and the tension in this issue. The mystery is sufficiently deepened with the introduction of a new character and the intricacy of Ras’ plot is incredibly engaging. I enjoyed the fact that Batman could be the catalyst that causes the team to break away and I’m interested in seeing what storytelling opportunities that could bring. I want to know more about what’s happening and am interested in where this story goes next.
The Art: Dexter Soy has some fantastic art in this issue. The fight between Duke, Cassandra and Ishmael is epic and the action throughout is amazing.
