The Rundown: Batman confronts Amanda Simms and discovers that his new partner is connected deeper than he knew.
After discovering what happened to the body of Amanda Simms, Batman makes preparations for his upcoming showdown with the resurrected woman. After being confronted beneath the city, Batman and Joker face off against Simms who continues on her mission of vengeance with a bigger plan in the works. One that will require Joker.
Batman manages to fight off the hordes of her undead minions and escape, but Gordon finds himself at the mercy of Joker and Harley Quinn. A standoff ensues with Amanda and her forces closing in and Batman facing off against Joker.
The Story: Silvestri crafts an entertaining and thrilling story in this issue. The mystery is getting deeper and more intense with betrayal leading to great surprises for the reader. I continue to be invested in this story and the world it is building and I love seeing Batman take the steps he takes within the story with both Gordon and Joker. I am excited to see how this story concludes.
The Art: Silvestri’s art is beautifully detailed and filled with great visual moments that have a wonderful mixture of action and horror elements throughout.
