Lois has decided that she and Selina need to embrace the absurdity of the moment and have a real bachelorette experience and it’s going to require Supergirl to unlock the Fortress of Solitude.

Already drunk, the pair explore and find a series of things to get into within the walls of the fortress including a pool once used to trap the Man of Steel and a depository of wines from across the galaxy.

As the ladies make the most of their experience, Bruce and Clark have a pretty tense bachelor dinner. The time together doesn’t really get above surface conversations about sports and an awkward moment where they try to separate for work purposes, but they manage to endure the evening after Clark gives Bruce some truth.

Tom King manages to take even the most benign nightmare and turn it into a cathartic journey for both the Dark Knight and the reader. The contrast between Catwoman embracing her experience with Lois versus Bruce seeming to endure his time with Clark is interesting. I love the fact that Clark was able to express to his friend the reason he seems so uncomfortable with the entire bachelor evening. The entire issue is an illuminating and entertaining story for all the characters and the ending does a great job of bringing the reader back to reality.

The art from Conner, Panosian, Timms and Janin is both fun and light. The style does a great job of lulling the reader into embracing the fun and fantastic elements of the story before plunging back into the seriousness of the storyline.
