The Rundown: Batman’s investigation will lead to some unforeseen complication for both he and his son.

Batman is in Washington DC as the aftermath of the assassination of Ras Al Ghul continues to have ripples across the world. After looking at the evidence at the scene and the location where the assassin entered the city, Batman determines that there is a reason why one person was killed and the other was not. A reason that begins to unfold as Talia sends her deadliest assassins on a mission to kill Deathstroke.

At the same time, Deathstroke and his forces are fighting for their lives against Talia’s best fighters and not all of them are going to make it out alive. Robin goes to see someone close to Deathstroke to get answers, but finds a willing ally in a deadly mission while Batman pays a visit to the League of Assassins.

The Story: Williamson crafts an entertaining story in this issue. There are some compelling detective moments and I liked seeing Batman in detective mode for this case. The moments with Deathstroke are fast and action packed which work really well for the plot. The Robin part of the story is interesting as well and everything comes together with a compelling cliffhanger.

The Art: Porter delivers some really good art in the issue. The style is filled with detail and energy.
