The Rundown: Batman and his allies make a final push against Saint and the Magistrate program as Scarecrow’s Fear Bomb prepares to blow.

Saint’s plans and his emotional state are spinning out of control as his forces continue to fail against Ghost-Maker beneath Gotham City. As more of his plans begin to fail, Saint runs into another problem as his expensive sky base is taken over by the Bat-Family who have sent it on a course to Gotham Bay. While his allies are having success stopping the Magistrate’s plans, Batman has his own issues taking down Peacekeeper 1 while Molly tries to stop Scarecrow’s fear bomb.

Beneath the surface, Harley confronts Ivy with the missing part of herself and when they combine, Ivy decides to try something new with the people of Gotham. At the same time, Batman runs into another complication when Molly decides that just stopping the bomb isn’t enough and her plan will require Batman to try a new tactic if he’s going to convince the young woman to believe in something.

The Story: James Tynion IV brings this arc to a satisfying conclusion that includes some interesting and unexpected twists and turns. All of the separate character and story beats are handled in a great way and I appreciate the interaction between Batman and Molly at the end of the issue. It shows a different version of Bruce than we’ve been used to lately and shows him as a more human character. The Harley/Ivy moment was great as well and the evolution of the story was handled beautifully.

The Art: Jimenez delivers some beautiful art throughout the issue. The action is intense and beautifully detailed. The characters look fantastic and there are visuals brilliant moments throughout.
