The Rundown: Batman continues to fight fear and the forces of the Magistrate.

An explosion at City Hall forces the Mayor to authorize the Magistrate and his Peacekeepers to step in to restore oder. As the people think this is a prelude of things to come, Miracle Molly and the others believe that they will be targeted as scapegoats. A fear that will push Molly to reach out to Batman for help. Nakano’s fear will force him to act in order to assure the public despite Montoya’s objections.

As the media informs the public, Batman finds himself in a pitched battle with the newly designated Peacekeeper 1. As Oracle calls in the Bat Family to help, Simon Saint prepares to deploy his Peacekeepers throughout the city. Batman will need help to escape, but he isn’t the only target of the Peacekeepers as Miracle Molly finds herself face to face with the new protectors of Gotham City.

The Story: Tynion IV builds a story filled with tension, action and thrills. Not only are the action elements well done, but the political drama is brilliant and compelling as well. The story is filled with drama both personal and professional and I love the rising stakes for Batman and the city. A great arc that continues to challenge the character in new and interesting ways.

The Art: Jimenez delivers some beautifully detailed art throughout this issue. The action is breathtaking and all of the characters look amazing.
