The Rundown: The Batgirls battle multiple villains in their attempts to protect Gotham.
The story open with all three Batgirls in a vehicle chase with the Saints. Then, after a violent confrontation, the Saints learn the truth about their leader. Later, an investigation of a recent threat leads Cassie and Stephanie to Arkham Asylum where they uncover a deadly plan. Meanwhile, Barbara finds trouble when she visits an acquaintance.
The Story: The penultimate issue in this story arc is filled with both intense action and interesting world building. Its always fun to see the Batgirls working as a team, and this story did not disappoint. In terms of storytelling, the omniscient narrator played an integral part in both humor and character development. In fact, use of this literary device is my favorite part of the series. Overall, I really liked this chapter and I am excited to find out what happens next.
The Art: The illustration uses a youthful styling and bright colors to convey the mood of the story. The action scenes are impressive and I found myself completely immersed in the pages.
