The Rundown: Hannah and Reagan take on another member of the Chimera as Vanessa does something desperate for power.
In the aftermath of their latest battle, Hannah and Reagan are on the run, but they are not alone. With Hannah thinking back on the aftermath of the first time she encountered what the Chimera could do, she is too late to stop Jimmy Boy as he runs them off the road and goes on the hunt for her. At the same time, Barret returns to tell Cara and Vanessa what is happening, but Cara doesn’t believe what is happening with their powers. Especially what happens if one of them is killed.
Jimmy Boy has managed to track Hannah and starts using his powers to torture her before turning on Reagan. When Jimmy Boy takes his eyes off the prize, Hannah is given the opportunity to end him. Unfortunately, stopping Jimmy Boy might make things worse when Vanessa decides to drop some dead weight and gain some new power.
The Story: Bunn delivers some great drama, horror and action throughout this issue. Hannah’s story continues to be compelling and the tension in the story was palpable. I could feel the danger and terror Hannah was facing throughout the story and the pace of the story was brilliant. The story continues to be a great psychological and supernatural thriller that makes me excited for the next issue.
The Art: Jonas Scharf crafts some beautifully detailed imagery on every page of this issue. There are some awesome visual moments throughout and there are wonderful things to find on every page.
