The Rundown: Jesus navigates his own fear in a dangerous and challenging world.

Jesus is an immigrant and a survivor who constantly fights his own persistent fear at the sight of blood. Something that has plagued him since his parents made the dangerous journey to bring him to another country to find a better life.
Unfortunately, he can only find work at a slaughterhouse with his father where his fear continues to consume him. Even after losing the people he loves, Jesus fights to make it in the country, but an incursion through time will change everything.
The Story: Camp crafts a truly haunting and engaging story in this issue. The story has some truly strange moments with a great overarching theme of blood and a fantastic sense of foreshadowing that made every moment intriguing to me as a reader. I was thoroughly impressed with how compelling and entertaining the story is and its connection to the bigger mystery at the heart of the series keeps me intrigued.
The Art: Zawadski delivers some beautifully detailed and visually compelling art throughout the issue.
