The Rundown: Peris discovers more about the armorclad he’s been brought to unlock as his friends launch a dangerous rescue mission.
The governor decides to bring Peris into his confidence and tells him why he’s so special. Peris knows he’s being used, but he is intrigued with the fact that his genetics might allow him to unlock a powerful armorclad. At the same time, his friends gather outside the city to find a way in to rescue him.
When the Legionnaires attack the citadel, Lela uses the opportunity to bring a small group into the city to find Peris. Unfortunately, their mission will run into some serious complications when the Legionnaires launch a series of weapons that cause widespread devastation across the city.
The Story: O’Connor and Buccellato increase the tension and ramp up the action throughout this issue. The story continues to be compelling and the writers do a great job of expanding it along with the peril everyone is facing. I love the pacing and non-stop action of the story and I am excited to see where it goes next.
The Art: Sepulveda delivers some beautifully detailed and visually exciting spectacle on every page of this issue. The action is thrilling across the board.
