The Rundown: Lela begins a rebellion and Peris learns an interesting truth.
In the aftermath of the attack on Outpost 14, Lela and the others decide on their next move. She convinces her friends that they have to rescue Peris. After fitting themselves with new gear and the armorclads left behind, they agree to head out on their mission. Jac decides that they should take the others with them, including the soldiers were trying to kill them and the group sets out only to find themselves in the fight of their lives against both an alien threat and the men they are trying to rescue.
At the citadel, the new governor decides to pay Peris a visit after looking at the results of his genetic tests. Tests that might make him the perfect candidate for using technology that was thought lost. Technology that could be the most powerful armor anyone has ever seen. As Peris decides whether or not to help the governor, Lela decides to enlist more people to her cause as they prepare to rescue him.
The Story: O’Connor and Buccellato continue to create an entertaining story with some great world building. The story is compelling and fun with a great sense of adventure and drama. I like the revelations made in the story as well as the dual drama between Lela’s rebellion and the decision Peris will have to make.
The Art: Sepulveda and Garcia deliver some awesome visuals throughout the issue. The action is visually thrilling and every panel is filled with great details.
