The Rundown: A detective and his client find more than they bargain for in a missing persons case.

Jenny Barnes is a socialite looking for her missing sister who has been taken by cultists. After visiting detective Joe Diamond, the two agree to work together to find her with Jenny insisting on being part of the investigation.

Their investigation will lead them to the top of Arkham society as well as its dark underbelly. A journey that will bring them to a location the cultists have been using and the aftermath of a dangerous ritual that will unleash dark horrors on the world.

The Story: As a fan of Lovecraftian horror, Bunn crafts a story that speaks to my admiration for the eldritch horror genre with this first issue. There is a wonderful mix of the occult, the arcane and classic detective noir in this issue and the dark events make me excited to see where this story goes next. I really enjoyed the dialogue between the characters and the story creates an interesting mystery that I want to explore.

The Art: Mutti delivers amazing art that perfectly captures the dark atmosphere of the story and the world being created within it. I love the visual style and how it delivers on both the lush canvas of the world and the dark horrors below it.
