The Rundown: Dr. Joy follows the Ten-Eyed Man and later uncovers something disturbing.

Dr. Joy visits Detective Stone in the hospital and learns the fate of several patients. She then narrates her current history with the Ten-Eyed Man and her motivations, including an interesting theory regarding Gotham City. Later, Dr. Joy has an encounter with the Ten-Eyed Man and follows him to a meeting with Solomon Grundy. Later Dr. Joy goes on a mission and makes a discovery. Finally, Dr. Joy and her previous patients have a run in with a foe whose religiosity takes forefront.

The Story: Watters disturbing portrayal of Gotham City continues in the third chapter of this series. This story attempts to solve the question: What is Gotham? And from where does its insanity manifest? Through the history of Solomon Grundy and a very disturbing map, the answers to those pivotal questions seem to be falling into place. The introduction of an unexpected villain, and a cliff hanger ending, left this reader both uncomfortable and intrigued. I am very interested in this plotline’s development and am excited for the next edition.

The Art: The illustrations in this piece give off an eerie vibe that perfectly suits the tone of the story. There is an intensity to the panels that is both eye-catching and emotionally engaging. I found myself completed transported into the world of the tale.
