Even with the push back of its release date, the big screen Aquaman film is steadily moving along in production. The James Wan directed film starring Jason Mamoa as the King of the Seas himself has added another actor to its cast.
Deadline and Empire are reporting that Patrick Wilson (Insidious) has been cast as Orm in the film.
Orm is the half-brother to Aquaman and eventually becomes the villainous Ocean Master. Wilson is a frequent collaborator with director James Wan. Wan directed Wilson in the first two Insidious movies as well as both Conjuring films. Wilson is also no stranger to the DC Universe having played Nite Owl in the Zack Snyder helmed Watchmen movie in 2013.
Plot details are still unknown at this time so there is no telling if Ocean Master will be the main villain in the film or if Wilson will flesh out the character over time. We will continue to keep you informed on the film’s production.
