The Rundown: Scott Lang will have to team up with Swarm to stop a new threat as Cassie contemplates her future.
After tracking down the missing bees to the creature that stole them, Ant-Man and Swarm find themselves face to face with the Bug Men. A trio of giant creatures made entirely of insects, the Bug Men want to destroy the inferior Swarm and take his power. Forced to team up with the villain, Ant-Man and Swarm make a daring escape and Scott finds out exactly why the Bug Men want him and what plans their leader has for the world.
At the same time, Cassie decides to talk to her mother about an opportunityt to join her friends in the West Coast Avengers. A prospect that her mother is against and reminds her daughter why. With Ant-Man fighting for his life, the Bug Men’s leader Macrothrax finds that his plans need something only Scott Lang can provide.
The Story: Zeb Wells takes a fun story and adds some interesting and amusing stakes to it as Scott finds his simple job becoming bigger and more complicated than he imagined. The dialogue is fun and funny. The plot moves easily along with both parts of the story merging together well and the villain is surprisingly menacing. It will be fun to see how and if Scott Lang can survive this encounter and what comes next for Ant-Man.
The Art: Dylan Burnett keeps the tone light and fun with the art as well. From the exaggerated facial expressions to the action, the art reflects the tone of the story perfectly.
