Deron GenerallyAngelina Jolie and David Oyelowo are set to star in a new take on some classic stories in the fantasy adventure Come Away.
According to the description of Come Away, the film will serve as a prequel to the stories of both Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan. Jolie and Oyelowo will stars as the parents of Peter and Alice, who will be siblings in the film. When their older brother dies in a tragic accident, the parents fall into a deep despair. Both Peter and Alice fight to save their parents from their downward spiral until the kids are forced to choose between home and the world of imagination.
This new take on the classic stories of Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan will be written by Marissa Kate Goodhill and directed by Oscar winner Brenda Chapman. Chapman will make her live action directorial debut with Come Away after directing the animated films The Prince of Egypt and Brave. The film will shoot in the UK and Los Angeles.
Jolie is currently filming the sequel to Maleficent and Oyelowo can next be seen in Doug Liman’s sci-fi film Chaos Walking starring Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley.
