The Rundown: The Avengers battle an army of Red Skulls as well as the suspicion that something bigger is wrong.
An army of Red Skull LMD’s have cornered the Avengers as they try to stop their plans. At the same time, the mysterious voice guiding events is desperate for Iron Man to discover a key component that is powering the robots as he and the real Red Skull infiltrate an orbiting satellite. While Captain America deals with another group of Skulls, Sam, Black Panther and the rest of the Avengers attempt to stem the tide of the growing army.
After stopping the plan and preparing to take out the rest of the robots, Stark confronts Skull about their missing memories. Others on the team realize that their memories are altered as well and the voice is concerned that the heroes will not be ready for the bigger threat to them all.
The Story: A thrilling and entertaining story that has a compelling mystery at its center that engages me to keep reading. Landy brings some great character moments throughout the issue and the dynamic between the teams makes you appreciate them even more. I love the unknown nature of the threat they are facing and the voice guiding them does a great job of building tension.
The Art: Land delivers some beautiful art throughout the issue. The imagery is beautifully detailed and visually thrilling.
