The Rundown: A group returns to LV-426 to investigate and discovers a new terror.

A group of revolutionaries with a grudge against Weyland-Yutani have been attacking the companies assets in deep space and sending videos out for others to see. When their latest mission yields information about the missing colony of Hadley’s Hope, they head out in search of the missing colony.

The leader of the group, Cutter, has a personal connection to the events at Hadley’s Hope and takes the team down to the planet to find answers. After discovering the destruction left behind, one of them accesses the facilities computer to discover that there is a survivor on board just as a new breed of xenomorph attacks.

The Story: Percy delivers a story full of great tension and suspense. I was worried that the reveal of the connection between Cutter and what happened on LV-426 would be corny and heavy handed, but it’s handled in a way that is respectful to the source material and logical in how it lays out. The story it entertaining and exciting and the xenomorph is legitimately scary considering the circumstances of its creation. I am interested in seeing where this story goes next.

The Art: Dave Wachter delivers some impressive art throughout this issue. There are so many great, tension filled moments in the visuals and the art does a great job of building and sustaining suspense.
