Yesterday, 20th Century Fox released a teaser that promised a return to form for the Alien franchise. Tonight, a full Red Band trailer was released for the film. Check it out below.

Alien: Covenant is the second prequel of Ridley Scott’s original 1979 film Alien. Scott’s 2012 film Prometheus left fans of the original film with more questions than answers. Alien: Covenant seems to be a return to the thriller and horror elements prevalent in the original film and throughout its sequels.

The premise seems relatively simple: A ship filled with human colonists lands on a planet designated to be their new home and they are confronted with the alien xenomorphs. Many of the scenes do show a group of armed soldier-types as well, so they aren’t completely defenseless, but the alien is the showcase of this film.

Alien: Covenant stars Katherine Waterston, Michael Fassbender, Danny McBride and Noomi Rapace. It’s due for release May 19, 2017.
