The Rundown: As Batya and Dayton look for ways to escape Weyland-Yutani, the company soldiers will have a bigger threat to deal with.
The research facility is on fire and the WY rep is desperate for answers as to why he can’t get in contact with any of his teams. Not knowing they’ve been taken out by aliens, the survivors go looking for the specimen that attacked and killed one of them. At the same time, Zasha arrives to rescue her pregnant mother, but Bayta is determined to get to her lab.
At the same time, Dayton manages to overpower his guard and decides to take over the ship and escape with his family. Unfortunately, environmental issues arrive with a series of quakes that are taking everything into beneath the surface and into the water. Something Dayton will discover first hand as he also sees an army of aliens heading right towards his family.
The Story: Shalvey ramps up the tension and the action throughout this issue. There is some great action and terrifying moments in the story and I love how the tension rises with both the alien threat and the planetary one. The issue culminates in some intense moments that are both ominous and exciting.
The Art: Broccardo delivers some beautifully detailed and visually intense art on every page of the issue. I love the art style and how it complements the tone, tension and suspense of the story.
