The revival of The Twilight Zone for CBS All-Access has had its scripts and stories under wraps since the announcement was made that the series was returning, but we have news about one of the episodes for the new series.
According to Deadline, actor Adam Scott has been cast as the lead in an episode of the new series. The episode is reported to be a remake of the classic Twilight Zone episode “Nightmare At 30,000 Feet”. Anyone familiar with the original series will know that this iconic episode featured a pre-Star Trek William Shatner in the lead role as a nervous flier who discovers that there is a creature on the wing of the plane that he is on and he can’t seem to find anyone to believe him.
The episode has been parodied in media several times and the plot was revived as a segment in 1983’s Twilight Zone the Movie starring John Lithgow in the lead and directed by Mad Max Fury Road’s George Miller.
Adam Scott is known for his roles in television series like Parks and Recreation and Big Little Lies, which he will return to for its second season. He has been featured on the big screen in movies like Step Brothers and The Disaster Artist.
