The Rundown: The Celestial faces resistance as it attempts to end the Earth.
Judgment Day is upon the Earth and its heroes do everything that they can to save as many people as they can by moving to the Eternals cities beneath the planet. At the same time, the Celestial decides to take a more direct approach in its plan to destroy the planet while the team inside it gets closer to its core.
Unfortunately, the Celestial has been expecting their attack and removed the safeties that were keeping the Eternals from protecting them. As the world gets closer to destruction, the heroes as well as the humans do everything they can to fight off the Celestial and it will take a moment of dangerous truth to turn the tide. A truth that will change everything for the heroes and people of Earth and could postpone judgment for another day.
The Story: Gillen brings this story to a brilliant, thought provoking, tension filled and exciting conclusion. The story is conceptually brilliant and never stops in its twists, turns and revelations. There is non-stop action throughout, but it never overshadows how engaging and entertaining the story is. I’m not a huge fan of event comics, but this one is definitely an exception.
The Art: Schiti and Fiorelli knock it out of the park with blisteringly beautiful visuals that are filled with great character moments, tension and action. A beautiful looking issue from start to finish.
