In a press release sent out this morning, 21^st Century Fox announced;

“The Walt Disney Company’s (“Disney”) acquisition of 21CF will become effective at 12:02 a.m. Eastern Time tomorrow, March 20, 2019.”

While the deal is far reaching and complicated, we are a comic book and entertainment-based website so we’ll leave the business implications to the accountants and admit freely that we are only interested in the Fox assets related to Fantastic Four, X-Men and others.

The 20^th Century Fox brand and Fox Searchlight brands will remain as well as FX, but there is no news yet on what Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios plan to do with X-Men or Fantastic Four and whether they will make their way into Phase 4 of the MCU or not.
